Terms of Service
Please read these Terms carefully. By using simvln.com and the tools on it ("the Service"), you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
SIMVLN Tech Solutions provides free online utilities, including PDF tools, financial calculators and converters. The Service is operated from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
2. Using the Service
You may use the Service without creating an account. Creating a free account gives you a higher daily usage allowance.
Daily limits
To keep the Service free and available to everyone, some tools have daily usage limits. Limits differ for visitors who are signed in and those who are not, and may be changed at any time without notice. Attempting to bypass these limits is not permitted.
Your account
- You must provide an accurate email address and keep your password secure.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
- Tell us at info@simvln.com if you believe your account has been used without permission.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is illegal, or that infringes anyone's copyright or other rights.
- Use the Unlock PDF or Protect PDF tools on documents you do not own or have permission to modify. Removing a password from a document you have no right to open may be unlawful.
- Upload malware, or attempt to attack, overload, probe or disrupt the Service.
- Use automated scripts, bots or scrapers against the Service.
- Circumvent usage limits, security controls or authentication.
- Resell or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission.
- Click your own advertisements or encourage others to click advertisements artificially.
We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches these rules.
4. Your files and content
- You keep all ownership of the files you process. We claim no rights over them.
- You confirm you have the right to process any file you submit.
- Most tools run entirely in your browser. Where server processing is used, files are deleted immediately after processing — see our Privacy Policy.
- Always keep your own backup of any original file. We cannot recover a file once processing is complete.
5. Financial calculators — important
Our EMI, SIP, tax, retirement and other financial calculators provide estimates for general information only. They are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Results may differ from figures provided by your bank, lender or tax authority, and rules change over time. Always confirm with a qualified professional before making a financial decision. SIMVLN Tech Solutions accepts no liability for decisions made based on these calculators.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the Service running, but we provide no guarantee of uptime. We may change, suspend, limit or discontinue any tool at any time, with or without notice. Tools may be unavailable during maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control.
7. Advertising
The Service is funded by advertising displayed on tool pages. Advertisements are supplied by third parties and we do not endorse and are not responsible for advertised products, services or linked websites. Any dealings with an advertiser are solely between you and them.
8. Intellectual property
The SIMVLN name, logo, site design, text and original code are owned by SIMVLN Tech Solutions and protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or create derivative works from them without written permission. Some tools use third-party open-source libraries, which remain the property of their respective authors under their own licences.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that conversion results will be perfect. Conversion quality depends heavily on the structure of your original file — scanned documents, complex layouts and unusual fonts may not convert accurately.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SIMVLN Tech Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, business or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) INR 1,000.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SIMVLN Tech Solutions from any claim, loss or expense arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of anyone else's rights.
12. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the current version. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
