Extract text from scanned PDFs using Tesseract OCR — runs in your browser, nothing uploaded. Limit 30 pages per run.
About OCR PDF
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) reads scanned images inside a PDF and converts them to selectable text. Uses Tesseract — an open-source OCR engine by Google. First run downloads language data (~10 MB) from the CDN; subsequent runs are faster. For PDFs with real text layers, use Extract Text instead — it's instant.
